About John MacIsaac
John MacIsaac worked for 30 years as a consulting engineer in the mining industry contributing to building large infrastructure and creating jobs in remote and rural communities. He understands first-hand the critical role of our industry workers and is committed to delivering outcomes for all hard-working Australians. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Combining his professional background and track record of community volunteering work, He is a passionate voice for positive change in Victoria.
Born and raised in Melbourne, John looks forward to providing real representation for the people of Victoria. By delivering a strong economy, John wants to support the Victorian community and ensure all families and individuals have access to the essential services we all rely on. He is passionate about youth mental health and he is devoted to improving outcomes for our young Australians.
Outside of work, John is a devoted volunteer. He is Deputy Chair of Grow Australia and is a leader in peer to peer support in mental health. He has lent a hand to numerous schools as a mentor and coach in dispute resolution for students. John has other community roles in aged care and ethics at the University of Melbourne. He was appointed an Honorary Bail Justice in the State of Victoria.
John is hard-working and committed to delivering outcomes for the people of Victoria.
